We've created a touristic challenge for anyone who has some time on the cape before the wedding. Below you will find different activities and sights to see around Cape Cod. To receive points, any time before the wedding, send a photo of you doing these activities to: wedding@olearyandrose.com. During dinner at our wedding, the group that has received the most points will be crowned our Wedding Champions.
A perfect stop right as you go over the bridge! 1 point per beer.
There are 14 lighthouses on Cape Cod. A photo of a lighthouse is worth 1 point, but you can get a bonus 10 points if you take a photo of all the lighthouses.
In our opinion, Snowy Owl is the best coffee shop on the cape. Definitely worth a visit and worth 1 point.
If Snowy Owl has the best coffee, Nirvana may have the best vibe. Worth 2 points!
The Cape is full of trails and hikes; go explore its sandy dunes and beautiful salt marshes. 2 points.
Go for a bike ride on the PMC route itself! Send us a photo and you can earn 2 points.
In our opinion, a perfect weekend day on the cape involves driving to get a coffee and antiquing. Thrilling stuff! Worth 1 point, plus an additional bonus 3 points for whoever takes the photo next to the oldest looking antique.
Take a Whale Watch tour out of Barnstable or Provincetown to see some truly awesome wildlife. A photo of your trip is worth 10 points.
Enjoy a sunny day at the beach by going to the National Seashore! Ignore all those signs about great white sharks; they probably don’t mean anything… 5 points for a visit!
Get a scoop at our favorite ice cream shop! If you’re looking for Old Cape Cod, you’ll find it here, under their iconic neon sign. 1 point per scoop!
Wondering where the cranberry in your cocktail came from? Probably here! Take a photo of a cranberry bog (cranberries need not be in the photo) for 1 point. 3 points if you take a full bog tour!
The site of Caroline’s first job, where a visit is worth 5 points! Bonus 1 point if you wander down to the beach behind the museum, where Caroline taught students about tidal life!
Around during the week? Enjoy a spooky ghost tour in Barnstable Village. Caroline used to help give these tours as a kid, and highly recommends them. 10 points for a tour, and an extra point if you fall for Derek’s trick (you’ll know!)
